Cultivating Food and Ag Innovation

The food and agriculture sectors have been major drivers of technological innovation in recent years, producing solutions to some of the world’s most urgent challenges — from combating climate change to feeding a growing global population and improving nutrition. Upstate New York has emerged as a hotspot for these breakthroughs, with the annual Grow-NY Food & Agriculture Startup Competition attracting exciting new ventures to the region.

In seven years of competition, Grow-NY has received over 2,000 applications from innovative, high-growth food and agriculture startups competing for $3 million in prize money. Of this year’s 20 finalists, seven emerged as winners and must now make a positive economic impact here in Upstate New York.

In this Keynote, several winning startups will discuss how they aim to shape the future of our agrifood system with their innovations.
